FARMINGTON VALLEY ARTS CENTER
Avon, Connecticut
Hand painted environmental graphics, custom framed signs, recreated orginal way finding banners, exhibition, custom mailboxes, fascia signs, and outdoor sculpture.
For the FVAC I designed a project that updated the visual identity of the center with way finding signs and elements that referenced the signage that was in place for the past 50 years. The colorway was updated to siltstone red and antique gold with a specturm of color for the canvas doormarkers throughout the studios and classrooms. The entire project was hand painted and included custom mailboxes, directional signs, and plaques. In addition to the sign project, I made an exhibition of paintings and fabricated a sculpture that paid homage to the turn of the last century Italian immigrants that had a fruit market nearby at the now closed train station that ran through the village.
